Summer Night 5K (London Road Races)

The event takes place on Friday July 17, 2026 on John Street west of Richmond beside Delilah's in downtown London. Registration and race kit pick-up are available the day before at SoleScience and on race day at Delilah's.

Distances offered:

  • 5k course measured and certified (certification code ON-2022-015-PTBA).
  • 2k out and back following the first kilometer of the 5k.
  • Kiddy Trot of about 150 meters for children aged 1 to 12; parents may run alongside a registered child.

The 5k is an out and back along the newly paved Thames River Path System, starting and finishing at Delilah's. Much of the first kilometer is downhill, making the second half of the 2k an uphill challenge.

All pledged funds from the event will go to Bereaved Families of Ontario Southwest Region, a non-profit mutual aid organization that provides free support and programs for people who have experienced the death of a child and other death-related losses.

Prizes include draw prizes, overall and age-group awards, and event record bonuses. There will be no duplication of awards; unclaimed prizes will be available at SoleScience until August 19. Washrooms are available at Delilah's but no showers. Light refreshments are provided after the race; each runner receives a burger and a beer for those aged 19 and over, courtesy of Delilah's. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
