Summer Night 5k
The Summer Night 5k takes place Friday July 17, 2026 on John St west of Richmond beside Delilah's in downtown London. The event includes several distances, with start and finish at Delilah's.
Distances offered:
- 5 km: scenic out-and-back along the newly paved Thames River Path System, measured and certified (course code ON-2022-015-PTBA).
- 2 km: out-and-back following the first kilometer of the 5k; the first kilometer is mostly downhill, making the second half uphill.
- Kiddy Trot: about 150 meters, for children aged 1 to 12; parents may run alongside a registered child.
Registration and race kit pick-up are available at SoleScience (627 Maitland St) on the day before the race and on race day at Delilah's. Parking lots are close by.
All pledges from this event go to Bereaved Families of Ontario Southwest Region. The organization provides free support and programs for people who have experienced the death of a child and for others affected by death-related losses.
All participants are eligible for draw prizes and must be present to win. Overall and age-category awards include shoes, gift cards, and merchandise; masters prizes and event record bonuses are also listed. Washrooms are available at Delilah's; there are no showers. Light refreshments will be provided and each runner will receive a burger and beer (must be 19), courtesy of Delilah's. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
