The 2026 Summer MoCo 5k & 10k takes place on July 26, 2026 at MLK Recreational Park in Silver Spring, Maryland. The event offers in-person and virtual participation. Points from the races count toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack Series and toward the Summer Series.

Course, logistics and services
Both distances follow a paved route around the park and continue onto the Paint Branch Trail. The course includes a few rolling hills. Water stations are placed at approximately mile markers 1.55 on the 5k, and 1.55, 3.10, and 4.65 on the 10k; Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are available inside the park.
Registered runners receive a finisher medal, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before July 15; sizes for race day registrants cannot be guaranteed. Registration fees listed are 5k: $30 until July 15 ($35 after); 10k: $45 until July 15 ($50 after); prices increase by $5 on race morning. Live results are provided via Athlinks and a race-day QR code; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the event.
