The event takes place on July 26, 2026 at MLK Recreational Park, 1120 Jackson Rd, Silver Spring, MD. Distances offered:

- 10k
Points from the races count toward the Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Summer Series. A virtual race option is available. The event is chip timed. Runners receive a finisher medal and a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt. T-shirts are guaranteed for runners registered before July 15. Registration fees listed are: 5k $30 until July 15 (then $35), 10k $45 until July 15 (then $50). Price increases by $5 on race morning.
Course, support, and results
The course is a paved route around the park that connects to the Paint Branch Trail and includes a few rolling hills. Water stations: three on the 10k at approximately miles 1.55, 3.1, and 4.65; one on the 5k at approximately mile 1.55. Gatorade will be available at some water stations. Restrooms are located inside the park. Packet pickup is available at the event and race day registration is offered, though shirt sizes cannot be guaranteed for day-of registrants.
The race benefits Girls on the Run Montgomery County Maryland, whose programs combine physical activity with life-skill lessons led by trained volunteer coaches. Live results will be posted on Athlinks and a QR code will allow immediate access at the event; final results with series points are posted the Monday after the race. Awards include top three men and women overall and 1st and 2nd in specified age groups; top three overall are not eligible for age-group awards.
