Event Overview
The Summer MoCo 10k is a timed running event. The race takes place at Martin Luther King Jr. Recreational Park in Silver Spring, Maryland. The event also includes a 5k distance.
Course Details
The 10k course is described as a paved route around the park that heads out onto the Paint Branch Trail. The course has a few rolling hills and is noted as a scenic run. Course maps are available for review.
Participant Information
All registered participants receive a finisher medal, a technical event shirt, and chip timing. Registration prices increase closer to the event date. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before a specified date in July. Race day registration is available. Packet pickup is on-site before the event.
Amenities & Logistics
The event features several water stations on the course, with Gatorade available at some. Restrooms are located inside the park. Parking information is provided using a specific address and GPS coordinates. The event has a virtual run option for those unable to attend in person.
Awards & Recognition
Awards are presented for the top three men and women overall, as well as for first and second place in multiple age categories. The race is a benefit for Girls on the Run Montgomery County Maryland.
