Summer Extravaganza
The Summer Extravaganza is organised by Its Grim Up North Running along the Leeds Liverpool Canal at Wyther Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds LS5 3BT. The route runs on a canal towpath and is described as flat, fast and good underfoot. The course is lapped, with one lap measuring 6.7 miles, and has a 6.5 hour cut off.

The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association. Feed stations are normally placed around every three miles and offer drinks and food; participants are asked to bring a re-usable cup or bottle because the event aims to be cup less. There are marshals on the course and some road crossings may be unmarshalled. Large over ear headphones are banned; bone conduction or one in one out in ear pieces are acceptable if earphones are used.
Registration takes place across the road from the start and finish at Hollybush Conservation Centre, Broad Lane, Kirkstall LS5 3BP, where toilets are available and bibs are issued on the day. Car parking is free at Morrisons, Kirkstall, a short walk from the start area. The organiser gives one pound to the Hollybush charity for every runner. What3words location is ///slick.rear.moons.
