Summer Extravaganza
The Summer Extravaganza is a lapped towpath event on the Leeds/Liverpool Canal at Wyther Lane, Kirkstall, Leeds. The course runs on a canal towpath and uses a loop that measures one lap of 6.7 miles. The event is licensed by the Trail Running Association and has a 6.5 hour cut off for longer distances.

Feed stations are located on the course at roughly three mile intervals and offer drinks and a range of food; the event operates a cup-less approach so participants are asked to bring a reusable cup or bottle. Large over-ear headphones are banned; bone conducting or one in one out earphones are allowed. There may be unmarshalled road crossings. Marshals are present around the route and bibs are issued at registration on the day.
Registration is located across the road from the start and finish at Hollybush Conservation Centre, Broad Lane, Kirkstall LS5 3BP, where toilets are available. Car parking is available at Morrisons, Kirkstall. All finishers receive a bespoke medal and food at the finish, including cake and a BBQ roll with gluten free and vegan options.
