Event overview
The 2026 Summer Dash 5k & 10k is scheduled for July 19, 2026 at Black Hill Regional Park in Boyds, MD. The event offers both an in-person race and a virtual race option. Points from the races count toward the organizer's Year-Long 5k, 10k, and Back of the Pack series, and toward the Summer Series. The event partners with Operation Turbo for charity.

The course is on paved trails with a number of rolling hills. Both the 5k and the 10k are out-and-back courses; the 10k is not two laps. Water stations: two on the 5k course (approximate mile markers 1 and 2.1) and three on the 10k course (approximate mile markers 1, 3.1, and 5.2). Gatorade will be available at some stations. Restrooms are located inside the park.
Runners receive a finisher coin, a technical (Dri-fit) event shirt, and chip timing. T-shirts are guaranteed for registrations before July 8; later shirts are first-come, first-served. Registration fees listed: 5k $30 until June 30 ($35 after), 10k $45 until June 30 ($50 after). Price increases by $5 on race morning. Race day registration and packet pickup are available. Live results will be posted online with a race QR code for immediate access. Awards are given to the top three men and women overall and to age-group finishers.
