Boxers & Briefs 5K
Boxers & Briefs 5K is offered as an in person 5k and a virtual 5k on March 20 and 21, 2027. The in person event takes place at Broadlands Community Center, 43004 Waxpool Rd, Ashburn, VA 20148. Registration opens January 13 or January 14, 2027 depending on the event and closes February 20, 2027. The registration fee is $35.00 for both event options. The advertised distance for each event is 3.1 miles.
Participants in the in person 5k follow a course that starts and finishes at Broadlands Community Center and runs through neighborhood streets in Ashburn. Virtual participants complete the distance on their own routes and may wear purple or creatively display briefs as described by the organizer. Finishers receive a choice of a pair of custom fun slippers or a long sleeve pajama style shirt plus the 2026 Boxers & Briefs 5k medal; virtual participants will have items mailed to the address used at registration. The event includes a collection of new boxers and briefs for local groups supporting people in need and highlights Rocky Cares, a local nonprofit focused on funding research for Ewing sarcoma.
