Event Overview
The Sullivan Lake Triathlon is a sprint triathlon event. It takes place at the Noisy Creek Campground USFS in the Sullivan Lake Recreational Area of the Colville National Forest near Metaline Falls, Washington. The event is held under a Special Use Permit from the Colville National Forest.
Distances and Course
The main triathlon follows a standard sprint-distance format.
- Swim: 750m in Sullivan Lake, starting at the Noisy Creek Campground boat launch.
- Bike: 20km out-and-back on Sullivan Lake Road, with a turnaround at the Mill Pond Campground.
- Run: 2.5km out-and-back on Sullivan Lake Road to the Harvey Creek Bridge.
The finish line is at the Noisy Creek Day Use Area.
Additional Events
Besides the main triathlon, the event offers other formats:
- A Youth Super Sprint event for participants aged 10 to 17.
- An Adult Team event.
- A "Friends and Family" group category.
Participant Information
All participants receive a t-shirt, swim cap, and racing bib. Everyone who finishes the Sullivan Lake Triathlon receives a finisher's medal.
The event is accessible by heading approximately 90 miles north of Spokane on Highway 31, then turning onto Sullivan Lake Road near Ione and following it to the campground. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
