Sugar Grove's Run to Remember

Run to Remember 5K

Run to Remember 5K is a community event presented by the Sugar Grove Park District. The event includes a 5K road race and a separate Fun Run designed for younger participants and families. It honors the memory and impact of individuals who have contributed to the Sugar Grove community; the 2026 edition recognizes Delmar "Del" Krieghbaum for his decades of local service and involvement.

The event takes place at Harter Middle School on Saturday, September 19. A 5K route map is provided for participants. Parking lots may close before the race for participant safety. The Krieghbaum family partnered with the Sugar Grove Historical Society to support preservation of local history, and participants and community members may make voluntary donations to that organization.

Sponsor and partner recognition will be added as details are finalized. Race bib pickup options before race day are to be determined and participants will receive further information from organizers. Volunteer and sponsorship opportunities are available through the Park District.
