About the race
The SudburyROCKS!!! Race is scheduled for Sunday, May 30, 2027, in downtown Sudbury, Ontario. The start and finish are listed at Minto Street, 200 Brady Street beside Tom Davies Square.
The event offers multiple distances to accommodate a range of participants:
- 1K for kids (free)
- 5K
- 10K
- Half marathon
- Marathon
- Team marathon relay for teams of up to eight completing the full 42K course
The marathon is a Boston qualifying race. The event is organized by volunteers and the SudburyROCKS!!! Running Club. Since its inception in 2005 the race has grown into Northern Ontario’s largest competitive running event, attracting more than 2,000 participants annually. Proceeds support cancer care through the Health Sciences North Foundation; since 2005 the race has raised more than $1 million for local charitable organizations in Greater Sudbury.
The running club began in 1998 with a mission to encourage and support public participation in running for fitness, health, and enjoyment. The race is supported by the City of Greater Sudbury and a range of sponsors, including a presenting sponsor listed by the organizers.
