Apex Adventure Challenge
Apex Adventure Challenge is an adventure race in the Sudbury region scheduled for August 29, 2026. Teams of two or three navigate a course that includes mountain biking, trekking, and paddling, using a map and compass. The course combines marked routes with unmarked sections.
Estimated completion time for the course is three to five hours. The total distance is listed as approximately 30 to 45 km, with stage distances provided below.
- Mountain Bike - 20-30 km
- Trek - 6-9 km
- Paddle - 4-7 km
Competition categories include teams of two and teams of three, with all-male, all-female, coed, masters, and a family category. The family category permits teams of two or three with at least one racer under 13 years of age. Masters divisions are for teams whose members are all 45 years of age or older; gender sub-categories among masters will be offered only when there are at least five teams in each gender class.
Included with participation are a professionally designed and managed race course, park entry fees, custom swag items, chip timing, bib numbers and a bib number holder, bike plates, and prizes for the top three teams in each category.
