Apex Adventure Challenge
The Apex Adventure Challenge is an adventure race held in the Sudbury Region. The event is described as Sudbury's first adventure race and is designed especially for beginners. Teams of two or three navigate a course using a map and compass that includes mountain biking, trekking, and paddling.
The estimated completion time is 3 to 5 hours and the total distance ranges from 30 to 45 km. The route includes both marked race routes and unmarked sections.
Distances
- Mountain Bike - 20-30 km
- Trek - 6-9 km
- Paddle - 4-7 km
Categories are for teams of two or three with divisions for all-male, all-female, coed, and masters teams. A Family category is open to teams with at least one racer under 13 years of age. Masters divisions are open to teams whose members are all 45 years or older; gender sub-categories in Masters will be offered only when there are at least five teams in each gender class.
Included items listed by the organizer are a professionally designed race course, park entry fees, custom swag, chip timing, bib numbers and bike plates, and prizing for the top three in each category. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
