Beaton Classic 2026
The Beaton Classic takes place at Moonlight Beach, Greater Sudbury, ON, Canada on August 9, 2026. The event is described as one of the oldest multisport events in Canada. It combines an open water swim, a cycling leg, a solo canoe stage and a run, and may be entered solo or as teams of two or four.
Distances for the main event are:
- 1 km open water swim
- 24 km cycle
- 4 km solo canoe paddle
- 7.5 km run
Categories include solo, pairs and fours with women, men and co‑ed divisions. A Dairy Queen Kids Triathlon follows the main event. Kid distances and age groups are:
- 150 m swim
- 5 km mountain bike
- 1 km run
The kids event offers two age groups, 10 and under and 12 and under. T‑shirts for the kids triathlon are not included in registration but are available for purchase for CA$10.00. Race kit pickup locations are listed for Adventure 365, the Running Room and Moonlight Beach. The Running Room is noted as a sponsor.
