Beaton Classic 2026
The Beaton Classic is described as one of the oldest multisport events in Canada. It takes place on August 9, 2026 at Moonlight Beach in Greater Sudbury, Ontario.
The main multisport competition consists of four sequential legs. Distances are:
- 1 km swim
- 24 km cycle
- 4 km solo canoe paddle
- 7.5 km run
The event can be completed solo or as a relay by teams of two or four. Categories include solo, pairs and fours with divisions for women, men and co‑ed. In the fours co‑ed category, a minimum of two participants must be women.
A separate Dairy Queen Kids Triathlon follows the main event. Distances for the kids race are:
- 150 m swim
- 5 km mountain bike
- 1 km run
Two age groups are listed: 10 and under, and 12 and under. T‑shirts are not included with registration but may be purchased separately for CA$10.00. Race kit pickup locations include Adventure 365 at 444 Barrydowne Road, the Running Room at Cedar Pointe Plaza (1984 Regent Street), and Moonlight Beach. Running Room is named as a sponsor.
