Stubborn Spirits 24hr Race
The Stubborn Spirits 24 hour Race is a new event presented by Stubborn Donkey Running in partnership with the city of Weldon and Weldon Mills Distillery. It is a timed ultra run held across the date range 12/05/2026 to 12/06/2026 on the historic Roanoke Canal Trail in Weldon, North Carolina. The event format is a 24 hour run with multiple distance options.
All participants receive a finisher medal and 100 mile finishers receive a specially crafted buckle. The event has a distillery theme that references the end of Prohibition and will involve Weldon Mills Distillery as a packet pickup location and partner. Packet pickup is scheduled for Friday 12/04 at Weldon Mills Distillery with a tent set up, and additional packet pickup is scheduled for Saturday 12/05 at the same location.
