Strut Your Mutt - Springbrook Park Pavilion
The second annual Strut Your Mutt is scheduled for May 9, 2026 at Springbrook Park Pavilion in Alcoa, Tennessee. The event includes both walking and running options and welcomes pet owners and non-owners.
The event features these distances:
- 2K doggie walkathon
- 5K doggie walkathon
- 5K Fun Run
Early registration opens February 27, 2026 and closes April 30, 2026. Early registration is $25 and includes an event t-shirt and a swag bag. Kids 12 and under register free. Registration fees increase by $5 after April 30.
Dogs are allowed during the walk portion but are not permitted on the timed 5K run. Pets must be on a leash no longer than 6 feet or in a suitable harness or containment system; retractable leashes are not acceptable. Owners are responsible for controlling their pets, cleaning up after them, and reporting any incidents to event volunteers. Pets must be current on vaccinations and free of contagious conditions. Organizers reserve the right to refuse admission or eject unruly, aggressive, or ill animals.
Food vendors and pet service providers will be present, including Fats BBQ, Floyd's Snack Shack, Salty Paws dog treats, and Knot So Knotty Mobile Dog Spa. Blount County Animal Center will offer dogs available for adoption. Proceeds benefit Friends of the Blount County Animal Center, a 501(c)(3) organization that funds medicines, veterinary staff, and services for the center.
