About the race
The Stroud Trails event comprises a set of trail races around Stroud and the Cotswolds. Routes use local trails, Cotswold hills, towpaths, disused railway tracks, common land and sections of the Old Cotswold Way, with prolonged climbs onto Selsley Common and views across the Stroud Valley towards the Severn Estuary and Forest of Dean. The course description notes use of the Severn–Thames Canal towpath past Ebley Wharf, Stonehouse, Ryeford and Kings Stanley, then a line via Stanley Mill, Ryeford East Road and up through Pen Woods onto the Cotswold Way. The route is waymarked with black and orange chevrons; maps, GPX files and route descriptions are available on individual event pages.
