Event Overview
The Stroud Beer Race is a road running event held in Minchinhampton. Participants compete on a course that measures approximately 7.2 miles. The route is described as undulating and consists of three laps. The event serves as a part of the Glos AAA Road Race Series and operates under UKA Licence #30698.
The race starts and finishes at the Old Lodge Inn. For the 2026 edition, all finishers receive a metal souvenir medal upon completing the course. There is a strict time limit of 2 hours for the race; after this cut-off, the course closes and no finish times are recorded.
Categories and Logistics
The competition is open to runners aged 16 and over. Awards are presented to the top three individual male and female finishers, as well as the top three teams, with teams consisting of three runners each. Recognition is also given to various veteran age categories starting from Vet 40.
On-site facilities include toilets located within the start and finish area. There are no changing rooms, showers, or managed bag drop facilities available at the venue.
