Event overview
The Black Diamond takes place on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at Creekside Trail in Kilgore, Texas. The event offers multiple race options:
- Half-Marathon
- 10K
- 5K
- 1 Mile
- Kid's Dash
- Virtual Option
The 10K is run as two laps of the 5K course and the half-marathon as four laps. The Kid's Dash is a short 100–200 meter sprint. The 1 mile option is untimed and has no group awards. Chip timing is provided for all distances of 5K and longer.
Entry, inclusion, and awards
Entry fees vary by event. Registration items include an event-themed participation t-shirt (for 5K, 10K, half-marathon, and 1 mile) and a custom finisher medal for those events. Age-group awards are offered for the 5K, 10K, and half-marathon, with awards presented four deep across standard male and female age divisions. Additional awards are given to overall winners, masters winners (40+), and grand masters winners (60+). Awards are distributed at the event and will not be shipped.
