Run The Pines Trail Series
Run The Pines Trail Series is a four-race trail running series in East Texas held on natural dirt and forest trails in the Tyler and Longview area. The series is hosted by Texas Outlaw Running and is open to trail runners, hikers, and ruckers. Each event is held on hiking trail based courses with natural terrain, elevation, and unpredictable trail conditions.
Each race offers a range of distances and a ruck division. Rucking means hiking or running with a weighted backpack or vest; the series calls for a 20 pound minimum for the ruck division.
- 5K to 30K race options
- Ruck division with 20 pound minimum
Completing all four races awards a set of finisher medals that combine together to fit a Run The Pines Series plaque. All participants receive a Run The Pines tee. First place male and female awards are given for each distance, with a $200 cash prize for first place male and female in the longest distance. The final finisher on the longest distance receives a Dead Freakin Last award. Merchandise and add on items are available at checkout for pickup at the event. The events note occasional pavement or gravel sections and allow participant tent setups at the venue. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
