The event supports Home for Families, a non-shelter housing provider that works with landlords, government agencies, and community partners to provide safe and affordable housing solutions. Home for Families assists over 1,200 families experiencing housing crises each year. Nearly 90 percent of the households served are led by women, about two thirds have been mothers, and most of those are single mothers.
