Stromness Mini Triathlon 2026
The Stromness Mini Triathlon takes place on 17 May 2026 at Stromness Centre Swimming Pool, Stromness. The event comprises three legs arranged in standard mini triathlon order: swim, cycle and run.
Distances:
- 400 metre pool swim in four lanes, organised by swim time
- 10 km cycle on an undulating course out of Stromness
- 3 km looped run through the streets of Stromness back to the finish
Team and relay entries are welcome, including teams of two or three. Entrants must be at least 15 years old; Triathlon Scotland does not permit anyone under 15 to take part.
The roads used for the bike and run legs remain open; participants are responsible for road safety and for following the highway code. Both bike and run routes will be marshalled and signposted. A bike helmet is mandatory for the cycle leg. The event is not chip-timed and results are published on the day.
Entry fee until 15 May 2026 is £20. A British Triathlon Race Pass is required for participants who are not British Triathlon Home Nation members, with a cost of £2.00 (plus £0.08 service charge) for those aged 24 and under and £8.00 (plus £0.32 service charge) otherwise.
