Stromlo Running Festival
The Stromlo Running Festival takes place on 14 and 15 November 2026 at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra. The festival is an annual trail running event held at a purpose built running and cycling facility and includes several marked courses for different distances and ages.
Distances on offer include:
- 42.2 km trail marathon
- 30 km course
- 15 km course
- 10 km course
- 5 km course
- 2.5 km kids run for children 13 and under
The event is ITRA and UTMB indexed and described as family friendly. The University of Canberra recovery hub returns to provide free post-run support delivered by physiotherapy students under supervision. The venue offers on site amenities, accessible transport options for local and visiting participants, and parking with 487 paid spaces plus a free 15 minute drop off zone.
The festival references local history and community resilience following the 2003 bushfires and lists volunteer support and community partners among its features.
