Event Overview

The Stromlo Running Festival is an annual trail running event held in mid-to-late November at Stromlo Forest Park in the Australian Capital Territory.

Distances & Schedule

The event takes place over two days, 14-15 November 2026. It features six courses:

  • Marathon (42.2 km) with an 8-hour cut-off.
  • 30 km with a 6-hour cut-off.
  • 15 km with an anticipated 4.5-hour completion time for most.
  • 10 km with an anticipated 3-hour completion time for most.
  • 5 km with an anticipated 1.5-hour completion time for most.
  • Kids' 2.5 km cross-country run.

The marathon, 30 km, and 15 km events are scheduled for the first day. The 10 km, 5 km, and kids' run are scheduled for the second day. Participants are asked to self-seed at the start. Age restrictions apply: participants must be at least 18 for the marathon and 30 km, and at least 16 for the 15 km. Children under 13 in the 10 km and 5 km must be accompanied by a registered guardian.

Location & Course

All courses are based at Stromlo Forest Park. The trails offer views of Canberra, Black Mountain Tower, and the Brindabella ranges.
