Stromlo Running Festival - Stromlo Forest Park, Canberra
The Stromlo Running Festival is a two-day trail running event held at Stromlo Forest Park in Canberra on 14–15 November 2026. The festival offers a set of measured trail distances, includes a dedicated kids course, and is ITRA/UTMB indexed. The event is described as inclusive and family friendly and highlights community resilience linked to the local history of the 2003 bushfires.
BIBs are pick-up only and may be collected on behalf of another person. Pre-event collection takes place at the Canberra and Region Visitor Information Centre (Regatta Point) between 7 and 11 November. Additional collection occurs at the Stromlo Forest Park Event Hub on the eve of the event and on event days prior to each race. Participants must run in their registered start time; starting outside the allocated wave affects eligibility for awards and official results.
Event services and logistics include on-site amenities, paid parking with 487 spaces and a free 15-minute drop-off zone, and travel accessibility for local and visiting participants. The University of Canberra operates a Recovery Hub offering free post-run support delivered by physiotherapy students under supervision. The festival is supported by the ACT Government, Race Hub Australia, and partners, and lists the Indigenous Marathon Foundation among its community recipients. There are no prize presentations on the day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
