Strokes, Spokes and Strides
Strokes, Spokes and Strides is a sprint distance triathlon held in Waynesboro, Pennsylvania with the triathlon start, swim, transition area and finish located at the Waynesboro Area YMCA. The swim takes place in the Y’s six‑lane, 25 meter pool. Bike and run routes pass through tree lined neighborhoods and farmland in and around Waynesboro.
The triathlon can be completed by an individual or by a three person relay team. Additional race day formats offered are Aquavelo, which combines the swim and bike, and a Duathlon with a run-bike-run format. A Clydesdale‑Athena category is listed among the triathlon entries.
Registration for most individual and create‑a‑team relay entries opens on January 1, 2026 and closes on February 28, 2026. Entry fees shown for 2026 include $85.00 for several individual categories and $120.00 for creating a relay team; joining an existing relay team is listed with no fee up to the race date for those join a team options.
The event began in 2015 as part of the Waynesboro Area YMCA centennial celebration and is presented as a community event with multiple race formats on a single race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
