Stroke 'N Stride Winter Series : Miami Aquatic Centre and Pizzey Park
Stroke 'N Stride is a four-event winter aquathon series that combines park runs through Pizzey Park with 50m pool swims at Miami Aquatic Centre. Each event follows a circuit run course on park trails and alternating lanes in a heated pool with water temperature listed at 27.5°C. The format is run first, then swim, with transitions between disciplines; participants do not swim in their shoes.
The series comprises two benchmark rounds that count toward a leaderboard and two warm-up events. One originally scheduled date was cancelled, leaving four events with the final two in August designated as leaderboard rounds.
Race categories and benchmark distances include:
- Kids 7–9: 1.1 km total (1,000 m run; 100 m swim x2)
- Kids 10–13: 2.3 km total (2,100 m run; 200 m swim x4)
- Open 1 lap (12+): 2.5 km total (2,100 m run; 400 m swim x8)
- Open 2 laps (13+): 5.4 km total (two 2,100 m runs; two 400 m swim sets)
Junior entries include complimentary family pool access. A swim cap is supplied; runners must wear shoes for the run. Entry fees vary by category, with discounted multi-race passes available. Entries are non-refundable and non-transferable. Non-members may require a one-day AusTriathlon licence for $4.50. Volunteer shifts earn free entries to later events.
