Strides for Strength
Strides for Strength is a community fundraising event on October 4, 2026, at Seaside Park Playground in Bridgeport, CT. The event benefits the Norma Pfriem Breast Center, part of Yale New Haven Health and Smilow Cancer Hospital. Funds support patient services and programs at the center.
The event offers multiple participation options:
- 5K Charity Run
- Charity Walk (no fee)
Registration details are provided for each option. Registration for the 5K opens July 1, 2026 and closes August 11, 2026; the 5K registration fee is $35. Walk registration opens July 1, 2026 and closes October 4, 2026; the walk has no registration fee.
The Norma Pfriem Breast Center provides comprehensive breast care services, including early detection, diagnosis, treatment, and supportive therapies. Event proceeds are intended to help the center continue delivering patient-centered care and wellness services to individuals and families regardless of ability to pay.
