Strides for SOS 5K & 1 Mile Run/Walk
Strides for SOS is a community running event held at Beverly Park in Beverly Hills, MI on September 27, 2026. The event offers two course options:
- 5K Run or Walk
- 1 Mile Run or Walk
Registration opens on March 2, 2026 and closes on September 27, 2026. The registration fee for each event is $30. Packet pick up includes early pickup on Saturday, September 26, 2026 with location and time to be announced. Event day packet pick up and in-person registration are available at the Beverly Park Pavilion; payment by check, cash, or Venmo is accepted. T-shirts are available for in-person pick up only and cannot be mailed. Register by September 12 to guarantee a t-shirt; registrations after September 12 may not include a shirt. Participants are advised to allow time to collect race numbers and shirts.
There is generally ample parking at Beverly Park; if that lot fills, overflow parking is available next door at Beverly Elementary School on Beverly Road. Award categories include top finishers by sex and age: top three male and female for 9 and under (1 Mile) and 10–14 (1 Mile); overall male and female for the 5K each receive a $50 Hanson’s Gift Card; top male and female student from each BPS school for both distances; and age-group awards for the 5K across multiple brackets from 12 and under through 80–89. The event also notes that a costumed banana will enter the 1 Mile race and participants may race the banana for a prize. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
