S.A.D.D. Strides for Safety in Oneonta, NY
The 28th annual S.A.D.D. Strides for Safety is a community 5K run and walk that raises awareness and funds to help students make healthy and responsible choices. Proceeds provide financial support for local S.A.D.D. chapters. The event is held rain or shine.
A Health Fair is hosted in the Oneonta High School gym with exhibitors, face painting, and games. Awards are presented in the high school gym after the run and walk.
Registration options include in-person participation or virtual participation. Participants may choose to receive an event shirt or to register without a shirt. If a shirt is ordered as part of registration, the order must be placed by April 12; shirts are not available after that date.
Virtual participants are eligible for a random prize drawing. In-person participants may choose to be eligible for age category prizes by providing age and gender at registration; the top two finishers in each male and female age category receive awards. Participants who do not opt into age category prizes are eligible for random prizes drawn at the event.
Registration fees increase on race day. Register before April 25 to pay the lower fee; race day registration is more expensive. Event notes: no dogs on the race course, strollers are allowed, and earphones are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
