Strider XC Classic
The event is a cross country meet at Bells Mill Park in Chesapeake, Virginia. It includes a 5 km cross country race, a 1.5 mile kids course, and a competitive 5 km race walk division. Registration opens on 2026-01-23 and closes on 2026-02-14; race day registration is available with onsite check-in rules.

The first 150 registered participants in the 5 km and kids races are guaranteed T-shirts. T-shirt sizes are guaranteed through April 24, 2026. A no-shirt option is available with a three dollar discount. Medals are provided to all finishers. There will be one aid station offering water and a replacement drink.
Awards for the 5 km include top three male and female open and master winners. Age-group awards are offered as follows: 12 and under, 13 to 19, then ten-year age groups through 70 and over. Kids race awards are by age groups 6 and under, 7 to 8, 9 to 10, 11 to 12, and 13 to 17 for male and female competitors. Walking awards recognize the top three male and female finishers. Competitive walking entrants must walk the entire race to be eligible for walking-division awards; runners will be moved to the 5 km run division.
Post-race refreshments include lemonade, fruit punch, and a catered Panera lunch box while supplies last. One lunch box is available per participant with a bib; spectators are not eligible for lunch boxes. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
