Strider XC Classic - Bells Mill Park, Chesapeake, May 16, 2026
The Strider XC Classic is a cross country event held at Bells Mill Park in Chesapeake, Virginia on May 16, 2026. It is part of the Tidewater Strider Grand Prix, the Tidewater Striders Youth Grand Prix, and the Hampton Roads Super Grand Prix Race series.

- 5K cross country race
- Competitive 5K race walk
- 1.5 mile Kids Classic
The 5K course uses the cross country layout at Bells Mill Park and features varying terrain with marshy sections and grass surfaces. There is one aid station on course offering water and a replacement drink.
Amenities and post-race provisions include custom race T-shirts for the first 150 5K and Kids Race registrants, guaranteed T-shirt sizes through April 24, 2026, a no-shirt option with a $3 discount, and medals for all finishers. An afterparty at Bells Mill Park will provide refreshments such as lemonade and fruit punch and a catered Panera lunch box for participants while supplies last.
Awards for the 5K include top three male and female overall and masters, multiple age group categories, and walking division awards. The Kids Classic has age group awards for several youth categories. The competitive walking division requires participants to walk the entire race to be eligible for walking awards.
