Strider PR
Strider PR is a race day at the Pettit National Ice Center Indoor Track in Milwaukee on December 6, 2026. The event supports the Milwaukee Rescue Mission with collections of new toys and cash donations that remain in Southeast Wisconsin.
The program includes multiple participation options:
- 5K Strider PR - a 5 kilometer timed race
- One Hour Strider PR - distance measured by how far a runner goes in one hour
- Kids Lap Strider PR - a single untimed lap for youth with a sweet treat at the finish
- Virtual Strider PR - an outside running option with onsite swag pickup
Registration opens October 20. Standard fees listed are $30 for the 5K, $30 for the One Hour, $25 for the virtual entry, and $1 for the kids lap. Prices increase on November 25 and again after December 4; race day registration is $50 for all.
Runners must bring their own water bottle because open cups are not allowed near the track. Water bottle storage tables will be staffed by volunteers who can refill bottles with water or Gatorade. Portable music devices are not permitted on course; music will be played over the venue speaker system and participant requests will be considered.
Awards include overall 1st to 3rd male and female in the 5K and One Hour, plus age group first place awards across ten-year groups up to 80 and older. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
