2026 Stride to SAVE Lives 5k/10k
The event on August 1, 2026 is organized by Suicide Awareness Voices of Education (SAVE) at Lake Harriet in Minneapolis, Minnesota. It offers routes that pass through the scenery around Lake Harriet and is intended to raise awareness for mental health and suicide prevention.
Distances offered include:
- 5 km route around Lake Harriet
- 10 km route around Lake Harriet
Registration for the 5K and 10K is free for participants due to support from presenting sponsors TitleSmart and Executive Title. The first 500 registrants will receive a free T shirt. Participants can make donations during registration; donations and contributions collected at the event are doubled by the Tosa Foundation and benefit SAVE programs such as the Green Bandana Project and workplace suicide prevention training.
A memorial tent will be available for attendees to share photos and written memories of loved ones lost to suicide. Organizers request that items brought for the display be copies that do not need to be returned. Art supplies will be provided on site for creating messages or pictures.
