6th Annual Stride for Pride: Scranton, PA
The 6th Annual Stride for Pride takes place on June 7, 2026, along the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail at Olive Street in Scranton, PA. The event offers an in-person 5K and a parallel virtual 5K option. Both runs list a registration fee of $35.

- Virtual 5K: 3.1 Miles
The virtual 5K may be completed on the Friday or Saturday before the event and results are submitted to Scranton Running Company for scoring. Virtual results will be displayed by Monday, June 8, 2026.
The event is family friendly. Children under 10 may participate free when accompanied by a registered adult or guardian. T-shirts are not included with free entries, and participation medals are available subject to supplies.
The trailhead and pavilion are pet friendly; pets must be leashed and are requested not to be on the course during the event.
Queer NEPA organizes the event. The organization grew out of a 2018 Pride Series and held the first Pride flag raising in Scranton. Queer NEPA describes its work as focused on equality, community building, nonviolent activism, gender equity, reproductive justice, poverty abolition, volunteerism, advocacy, coalition building, and the arts.
