SSDHHC Run with the Bears & Cub Walk
The Scranton School for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Children, in partnership with AllOne Charities, presents a community running and walking event on June 6, 2026 at the school campus in Clarks Summit, Pennsylvania (537 Venard Road, 18411). The event includes the following distances:
- 5K Run
- 1 Mile Fun Walk
Proceeds from the 5K race will support the academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs offered to Deaf and Hard of Hearing students at the school. Packet pick-up and day-of registration are held at the school pavilion. The first 125 participants to register will receive a race T-shirt.
Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female runners. Additional awards will be presented to the top two male and female finishers in each of these age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+.
Registration fees listed by event are $25.00 for the 5K and $15.00 for the 1 Mile Fun Walk. Registration opens February 27, 2026 and closes June 4, 2026. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
