SSDHHC Run with the Bears & Cub Walk
This event on June 6, 2026, at The Scranton School for Deaf & Hard of Hearing Children (537 Venard Road, Clarks Summit, PA 18411) features a 5K run and a 1 mile fun walk. Proceeds from the 5K support the school’s academic, athletic, and extracurricular programs for Deaf and Hard of Hearing students.

Registration opens February 27, 2026, and closes June 4, 2026. Posted entry fees are $25 for the 5K and $15 for the 1 mile walk; day-of registration prices are $30 for the 5K and $20 for the 1 mile walk. Packet pick-up and day-of registration take place at the school pavilion.
The first 125 registrants will receive a race t-shirt. Awards include cash prizes for the top three overall male and female runners. Additional awards are given to the top two males and females in these age groups: 0-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, and 60+. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
