Strength In Colors 5K and KIDS DASH
The Strength In Colors 5K and KIDS DASH brings families and community members together to increase awareness of six cancers that can be caused by human papillomavirus (HPV). The event raises funds that support patient services, education, and prevention programs, and proceeds have helped fund a free women’s health program at a local clinic.
The event program includes a 5K road race and a separate kids dash. Wellness Row features community organizations and health and wellness partners that share resources and information. Participants and guests also encountered refreshments, snacks, family friendly activities, and onsite food trucks.
By the numbers for the most recent edition: 175 registered participants, more than 25 volunteers, over $17,000 raised, 10 Wellness Row community partners, and 2 local food trucks. Organizers plan a 10th annual event on July 25, 2027. The event is organized with the support of sponsors, community partners, vendors, and volunteers who provide in kind donations and services.
