Street Dog Hero Heroes on the Run 5K
Street Dog Hero Heroes on the Run is a dog friendly 5K held at Willamette Park in Portland on October 17, 2026. The route offers views of the city and includes a crossing of the Sellwood Bridge. Adoptable dogs will be on site, and local vendors will offer food and beverages near the finish area. Music will be present at the finish.
The event is presented by Street Dog Hero, whose mission is serving dogs in need around the world through rescue, adoption, wellness and spay/neuter clinics, and education. The organization runs local and international clinics and focuses on community education and pet wellness.
Event details note that strollers are allowed. Packet pickup is scheduled for October 15, 1pm to 6pm, at Road Runner Sports, 7073 SW Nyberg St, Tualatin, OR 97062.
Awards and participation items: 5K and 10K participants receive a medal and a t-shirt. Kids Fun Run participants receive a bib.
