Running Scared 5K/13K - Portland (Washougal)
The Running Scared event on 10/10/2026 gathers at Captain William Clark Park, 3333 Index St, Washougal, WA. The event offers both in-person and virtual participation and features a seasonal Halloween theme with costumes encouraged.
Distances included
- 5K Scaredy Cat, in-person and virtual
- 13K Heart Pounding, in-person and virtual
- 18K Deadly Double, complete the 5K then the 13K for 18K total
All athletes receive a long sleeve race shirt and a custom finisher medal. Participants who complete the Deadly Double receive an additional Deadly Double finisher medal. Virtual participants may run where and when they choose, submit a time, and have race swag mailed to them.
Awards are given to the Top Three Male and Female Overall finishers in both the 5K and 13K. Additional awards include Top Three in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters Overall categories, and top three in each five year age group for both distances. Special recognition is given to the Top Three Male and Female finishers who complete the Deadly Double.
