Running Scared 5K/13K - Washougal, WA
The Running Scared event on October 10 is a Halloween themed race held at Captain William Clark Park in Washougal, WA. The event offers in-person and virtual participation and encourages costumes to fit the seasonal theme.

The course uses the paved river trail and is described as flat and fast. The start and finish are at Captain William Clark Park before heading onto the river trail.
All in-person participants registered by September 30 are guaranteed a long-sleeve race shirt in their size and will receive a custom finisher medal. There is a virtual race option where participants can run at a location of their choice, submit a virtual time, and be eligible for awards.
Awards will be given to the top three male and female overall finishers in each distance and to top finishers in Masters, Grand Masters, and Senior Masters overall categories. Age group awards will be presented to the top three in the traditional five-year age groups for both distances. Special recognition will be given to the top three male and female finishers of the Deadly Double.
