STRC Trailfest at Newtown Battlefield SP
The event takes place on July 10, 2027, at Newtown Battlefield State Park in Elmira, NY. It is a three-hour timed trail event organized by the Southern Tier Running Club (STRC) on a roughly one-mile trail loop that gains about 300 feet of elevation per loop.
Participants run as many complete loops as they can within the three-hour time limit; only loops finished before the end of the timed period count. Participants may run, hike, walk, or stop at any time during the event. A fully stocked aid station is located at the start and finish area to provide food and hydration during the event.
Entry includes access to the aid station and post-run food. Participant items and awards include custom BOCO Gear hats for all participants, a finisher medal, and custom awards for male and female winners. The event organizer indicates proceeds will include a donation to a local trails organization.
The site provides a covered pavilion, picnic tables, a large field for games, a volleyball net, horseshoe pits, and yard games.
