STRC Trailfest at Sugar Hill
STRC Trailfest is a timed loop trail event held at Sugar Hill State Forest in the Fire Tower Area near 3361 Tower Hill Rd, Watkins Glen, NY 14891. Participants choose a fixed time to run as many loops as they complete within that time limit on a 4 mile trail loop that has approximately 500 feet of elevation gain per loop. Only loops finished before the time limit count toward the participant total. A fully stocked aid station is available at the start and finish area, and post-run food is provided.

- 12 hour timed event
Entry fees are listed for each duration and a reduced rate is available through club membership. Registration is limited to 100 participants and closes on Wed, Sep 2 at 11:59 PM ET. Parking is limited and parking on the road leading to the Fire Tower Area is not permitted.
Event entry includes a BOCO hat for participants, a finisher medal, and awards for male and female winners. Proceeds include a donation to a local trails organization. Camping options are available in the Sugar Hill Recreation Area with 26 designated campsites at the Fire Tower Area offered first come first serve; additional primitive sites and lean-tos exist elsewhere in the forest.
