Strachan Hartley Legacy Foundation Run : Run 20
The event marks its 20th edition on Sunday, October 18, 2026, and has run annually since 2007. Over the years it has raised more than $750,000 to support youth programs connected to Streetfront, an alternative school program for at-risk youth from Vancouver's Downtown Eastside.
All courses start and finish at Handsworth Secondary in North Vancouver. Race options include:
- 10 km described as challenging
- 5 km stroller friendly
- Kids Fun Race
A Team Challenge is available. Each team must have a minimum of four participants, with at least two entered in the 5 km and two in the 10 km. Prizes are awarded for Fastest and Most Money Raised. Fastest is calculated by the cumulative time for the team’s fastest two 5 km and 10 km times. Only ten pre-identified members will be considered for prizing.
Funds support Streetfront initiatives including 35 days of outdoor education, the run program (shoes, gear, entries, travel), technology access, the Street2Peak epic journeys and the Girls Who Leap mentorship program serving 120 female identified youth aged 12 to 21.
