Scenic 7
The Scenic 7 is a seven mile road race based at Mid Suffolk Leisure Centre in Stowmarket. The route runs through Onehouse and Harleston and includes a three mile loop near Harleston before returning along the same roads to the finish. The course is described as relatively flat with only a couple of undulations.
Prizes are awarded to the first, second and third male and female finishers. Additional category prizes are given to first placed veterans in a range of age groups for men and women. Team prizes are awarded for men and ladies with three to score. All finishers receive a memento.
The event is open to competitors aged 16 or over on the day. The event supports the Poppy Appeal and includes a two minute silence at 11:00am in the leisure centre to remember those who have given their lives in service.
Course records are listed as 40:45 for women (2021) and 34:16 for men (2023). The race is sponsored by Mid Suffolk Physiotherapy. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
