Event
The Stowmarket Half Marathon and 10K take place on 15 March 2026 in Stowupland, Suffolk. The event is organised by Stowmarket Striders, is chip timed and held under UKA rules. Race headquarters, start and finish are at Stowupland High School, Church Road, Stowupland, IP14 4BQ. The venue is approximately two miles northeast of Stowmarket and has parking at the school.
Distances
- Half Marathon - 13.1 miles; open to entrants aged 17+; certificate 24/011.
- 10K - open to entrants aged 15+; certificate 25/490.
Course and logistics
The route runs on B class roads and quiet single-track country lanes through undulating rural countryside. Roads, apart from the start area, will remain open to traffic; runners must keep left unless directed otherwise and are responsible for stopping at junctions in any dangerous situation. First aid medics will be present. Regular water stops will be provided. Use of audio headphones, including bone-conducting types, is prohibited and will lead to disqualification.
Entries, prizes and policies
Online entry fees are listed as £27 for the Half Marathon and £18 for the 10K, with on-the-day entry higher where available; affiliated runners receive a £2 discount. Finishers receive a memento. Prizes are awarded to 1st–3rd male and female, plus specified veteran age categories. The Half Marathon course closes three hours after the start.
