Stowmarket Half Marathon & 10K
Stowmarket Striders stage a chip timed half marathon and a 10K on rural Suffolk roads with start and finish at Stowupland High School. The half marathon is open to entrants aged 17 years and older; the 10K is open to entrants aged 15 years and older. The half marathon is one of the 2026 County GP Series races. UKA race licence is listed as TBC. Certificate of course accuracy numbers are 24/011 for the half marathon and 25/490 for the 10K.
The course runs on a mixture of B class roads and quiet single track country lanes through undulating countryside. Apart from the start area, roads are not closed to traffic; runners must keep to the left unless directed otherwise and give way to vehicles where necessary. Marshals cannot stop traffic and runners should take responsibility at junctions. Regular water stations are provided and first aid medics will be on site. Use of audio headphones is prohibited and may result in disqualification.
All finishers receive a memento. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to multiple veteran age categories for men and women. Entry is via the online entry system with on the day places available only if the race is not full. Transfers are possible through the registration link. The venue provides parking, refreshments, bag drop and toilets but no changing facilities. The school is about two miles northeast of Stowmarket.
