Event Details
The event offers two distances: a half marathon and a 10 km race. The half marathon is open to participants aged 17 and older, while the 10 km race is open to those aged 15 and older. All finishers receive a memento.
Course & Safety
The route takes place on rural country roads through Suffolk's scenic and undulating countryside. The course uses a mix of B-class roads and quiet, single-track country lanes that remain open to traffic. Runners must run on the left-hand side of the road and are responsible for giving way to traffic. For safety reasons, the use of all audio headphones, including bone-conducting models, is strictly prohibited and may result in disqualification. A risk assessment document will be available at the event.
Race Information
The event is chip-timed and held under UK Athletics rules. First aid medics will be present. Water stations are provided along the route. There is a three-hour time limit for the half marathon.
Venue & Logistics
The race headquarters, start, and finish are located at Stowupland High School in Stowupland, Suffolk. Parking is available at the venue, and participants are asked not to park on the road or green. On-site facilities include a bag drop, toilets, and refreshments, but no changing facilities.
Registration & Policies
Online entry fees are £27 for the half marathon and £18 for the 10 km, with a £2 discount for UKA-affiliated runners. On-the-day entry, if available, costs £30 and £20 respectively. Registration is generally non-refundable, but places can be transferred to another runner via a link in the confirmation email. Deferrals are not permitted. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
