Stowmarket Half Marathon & 10K
The event offers two chip-timed road races organised by Stowmarket Striders and held from Stowupland, near Stowmarket in Suffolk. Both courses have certificates of accuracy and are run under UKA rules. The routes use B-class roads and quiet single-track country lanes, passing through undulating rural countryside. Roads are not closed to traffic except for the start area, so runners must keep to the left unless directed by an official and take personal care at junctions. Marshals cannot stop traffic.
- Half Marathon: open to entrants aged 17 years and older on race day.
- 10K: open to entrants aged 15 years and older on race day.
All finishers receive a memento. Prizes are awarded to the first three male and female finishers and to multiple veteran age categories. Regular water stations are provided along the route. First aid medics will be present for medical assistance. Use of audio headphones while competing is prohibited and may lead to disqualification.
Race headquarters, parking, number collection, refreshments, bag drop, and toilets are at Stowupland High School, Church Road, Stowupland, Stowmarket, Suffolk IP14 4BQ.
