About the race
The Stouffville Main Street 5K is the fifth annual community run held on June 20, 2027 at Stouffville Memorial Park in Whitchurch-Stouffville, Ontario. The event includes a main 5K and a Kids 1K Dash and benefits the Markham Stouffville Hospital Foundation.
Participants are assigned start waves during registration based on anticipated 5K completion time. The color-coded pace groups and their time ranges are: Red (under 25:00), Yellow (25:01–30:00), Blue (30:01–35:00), Green (35:01–45:00) and Purple (45:01+). Runners with strollers are asked to line up at the back of their selected wave; walkers are asked to choose the Purple wave. Event timing is activated when each participant crosses the start/finish line.
Course rules prohibit bicycles, rollerblades and scooters. Leashed, well-behaved dogs are permitted in the runner's village only and are not allowed on the course.
Fundraising is encouraged but not mandatory. The suggested fundraising minimums are CA$100 per adult and CA$50 per child; donations above CA$20 receive a charitable tax receipt. Individuals who raise over CA$250 will be entered in a prize draw.
Registration follows tiered pricing with multiple periods and closes on June 13, 2027. After registration there are no refunds; registration fees may be transferred to a donation to the hospital foundation with a tax receipt, and bib transfers to another individual are possible for a processing fee.
