Storming the Castle 10K 2026
Storming the Castle 10K is a road race based at the Amphitheatre Leisure Centre in Carrickfergus BT38 7HP. The course is described as fast and flat and follows the promenade and waterfront, passing the marina and views of Belfast Lough before finishing at the 12th Century Norman Castle near Carrickfergus town centre.
The event marks the tenth running of Storming the Castle. Numbers are capped at 1,000. Entries must be for persons aged 15 years or over on race day, and entrants should supply their age category at the time of entry. Entries cannot be deferred and are non refundable.
Prizes include 1st, 2nd and 3rd awards for male and female finishers, a range of age category prizes including male and female juniors aged 15 to 19, a running club team prize for the top three fastest finishers by gender, and a prize for the best represented club. Club members must enter their club when registering for team prizes to count.
Early bird pricing applies until 30 April 2026. Early bird fees are stated for affiliated and non affiliated entrants, with higher fees applying from 1 May until 16 August 2026, subject to availability.
