Storming the Castle 10K, Carrickfergus
The Storming the Castle 10 km road race starts and finishes at the Amphitheatre Leisure Centre in Carrickfergus. The route follows the promenade and waterfront, passing the marina and providing views over Belfast Lough before finishing near the 12th century Norman castle by Carrickfergus town centre. Numbers are capped at 1,000.
Prizes are awarded for 1st, 2nd and 3rd male and female finishers, with additional age category prizes including a junior category for ages 15 to 19. Entries must be 15 years or older on race day. There are also prizes for the fastest running club teams and for the best represented club; club members must enter their club at registration for team results to count.
Entry is available at different price points. An Early Bird period runs until 30 April 2026 with reduced fees for affiliated and non-affiliated entrants. Fees increase from 1 May and remain subject to availability. Entries are non-refundable and cannot be deferred. A separate kids fun run and junior race is listed as part of the event programme.
