Event Overview
The Storm The Castle Duathlon is an established multi-sport event held at Ludlow Castle in Shropshire. For its 12th anniversary in 2026, the event will be based entirely within the historic medieval castle grounds. Every stage of the race starts and finishes within the castle walls and surrounding areas. Participants are required to hold a British Triathlon race license or purchase a single-use Race Pass to compete.
Course Distances
The event offers several formats to accommodate different experience levels:
- Full Storm: Approximately a 10 km run, followed by a 33 km bike ride, and a final 5 km run.
- Sprint Storm: Approximately a 5 km run, followed by a 23 km bike ride, and a final 2.5 km run.
- Junior Storm: A 1 km fun run for participants aged 13 and under.
Participation Details
The Full and Sprint courses are open to individuals aged 16 years or older. Both distances also offer a relay option for teams. For the Junior Storm, children aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult. The event is scheduled for Sunday 17th May 2026, with online entries closing two days prior to the race.
