Storm The Castle Duathlon
The Storm The Castle Duathlon is an established multi-sport event entering its 12th year. Located in the town of Ludlow, Shropshire, the 2026 edition features a central base entirely within the grounds of the historic medieval Ludlow Castle. Every stage of the event starts and finishes within the castle walls and surrounding grounds.
Participants can choose from several course options and distances:
- Full Storm: A format consisting of a 10 km run, followed by a 33 km bike leg, and a final 5 km run.
- Sprint Storm: A shorter version featuring a 5 km run, followed by a 23 km bike leg, and a final 2.5 km run.
- Junior Storm: A 1 km fun run for participants aged 13 and under.
- Relay options: Available for both the Full and Sprint courses for those wishing to compete as a team.
The event is open to individuals aged 16 and older for the adult courses. Participants aged 10 and under must be accompanied by an adult during the Junior Storm run. To participate, athletes must hold a British Triathlon race licence or purchase a single-use race pass.
