Storm the Bastille 5K
The Storm the Bastille 5K is a city run and walk presented by the East Town Association that takes place in downtown Milwaukee during the Bastille Days festival. The course routes participants through East Town and the Third Ward neighborhoods and begins and ends on Jefferson Street; the finish is at the same location. The route is not officially certified but is close in distance. The event offers a 5K distance and includes a timed bib.
Registration benefits include a special edition 40th Anniversary t-shirt, a timed bib, and a post-race beverage or vintage Storm the Bastille t-shirt. Walkers may complete only half the course at a designated midpoint (details TBD). Water stations are located near the halfway point by the Milwaukee Athletic Club and at the finish with the Kaizen House of Athletics Finish Line Water Station at Wells and Jefferson.
Packet pickup is available on specified dates at Performance Running Outfitters locations in Brookfield and the Third Ward, and on race day at Cathedral Square under the event tent. Bastille Days is a free, four-day festival in Cathedral Square Park that draws large crowds and features live music, an international marketplace, French and Cajun food, and street performers.
