Stonewall Columbus Drag Race and Virtual 5K
Stonewall Columbus presents a set of Pride events that combine a short fun run, a block party, and a virtual race option. Events are based at Stonewall Columbus, 1160 N. High St, Columbus, OH, and include both an in person fun run and a virtual participation option during June.
The in person component features a roughly 1.5 mile route through the Short North and finishes at a block party on High Street. The block party runs alongside the fun run and includes drag performances, music, and a community atmosphere. Block party admission carries a separate fee and includes one drink ticket redeemable for a beer, seltzer, or mocktail. Registered in person participants receive an event shirt, bib, and finisher medal. Packet pickup is available at Fleet Feet Upper Arlington; virtual participants can have packets mailed.
Events include opportunities for costume recognition and fundraising awards. Costume award categories include looks for individual and group creativity and presentation. Fundraising awards recognize top individual and team fundraisers. Registration windows and fees are published for each event; proceeds support Stonewall Columbus programming and a portion of funds will help support a Drag Artist Navigator position with the Greater Columbus Arts Council.
