Event Overview
The event Stomp Out the Stigma focuses on raising awareness for mental wellness and eliminating stigma around mental illness. It offers two race distances on the same day: a 5k and a 1 mile run.
Distances and Courses
The courses take place at Fort Steilacoom Park and around Waughop Lake.
- 5k: The route is described as flat and fast, starting by Waughop Lake, going through Fort Steilacoom Park, and finishing back at the lake entrance.
- 1 mile: This route is a scenic lap around Waughop Lake, starting at the lake's entrance. Both courses are mostly paved, with a short section of dirt and gravel path.
