Event Details
The STL Work Zone Awareness Run is an event held during National Work Zone Awareness Week. Its purpose is to raise awareness for safe driving in work zones and promote safety for road workers.
Race Options
The event offers several participation options:
- STL Work Zone Awareness 5K Run ($20)
- STL Work Zone Awareness 1 Mile Walk/Run ($20)
- STL Work Zone Awareness Virtual Supporter ($25)
- STL Work Zone Awareness Sponsor ($300)
Registration prices for the 5K, 1 Mile, and Virtual Supporter events increase after March 29, 2026.
Event Location and Features
The in-person event takes place at the MoDOT Transportation Management Center at 14301 S Outer Forty Rd in Chesterfield, Missouri. Participants receive a short-sleeve high-visibility running shirt. A second giveaway item is to be determined. The event is a nonprofit member of the Road Runners Club of America.
Partnership
The event partners with the nonprofit Let Me Run, a wellness program for boys in 3rd to 5th grade who train for seven weeks and participate on race day. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
