Stillwater Spooktacular 5K and Fun Run

Stillwater Center is an Intermediate Care Facility in Dayton, Ohio, that serves approximately 98 children and adults with severe and complex intellectual or physical disabilities and high-level medical needs. The center is owned and operated by the Montgomery County Board of County Commissioners and provides permanent and respite living, medical care, occupational and physical therapy, habilitation services, recreational programming, and other supports.

The inaugural Stillwater Spooktacular 5K and Fun Run is an accessible, family friendly community event held at Stillwater Center. The event program includes a costume contest, trick-or-treating, and raffle prizes. Proceeds will directly support recreational programming, therapeutic activities, and other essential items not covered by traditional funding sources.

Event participation requires prior registration; there is no onsite registration on event day and registration fees are nonrefundable. Shirts are guaranteed for registrations completed by October 7; some shirts may be available on race day but are not guaranteed. Transfers to another participant are permitted through September 17. In the event of foul weather, public safety concerns, pandemic, or other circumstances, organizers may reschedule, cancel, or convert the event to a virtual format; there are no refunds and race items will not be mailed.

Designated parking is available on the property and volunteers will direct parking. Awards will be given to top finishers by age group and to Halloween costume contest winners by age group. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
