The Stevens Creek Striders Reservoir Run takes place at Stevens Creek County Park (Villa Maria group site) in Cupertino, California. The event offers trail race options over varied terrain, including shaded single-track on Tony Look, open vistas on Coyote Ridge, creek crossings, steep climbs, and fast descents. The race is sanctioned by USATF, follows Trail Sisters standards, and is part of the USATF Pacific Mountain, Ultra, Trail Grand Prix. Timing is handled with UltraSignup software and results are hand-timed.
Distances offered:
- Half Marathon : 13.2 mi, 2,770 ft elevation, aid at 2.7, 6.1, 7.7, 10.7 mi
- 11K : 6.8 mi, 1,260 ft elevation, aid at 2.7 and 4.3 mi
- Lollipop : 2.5 mi, 250 ft elevation; water and lollipops at halfway
Aid stations provide water, electrolyte drink, gels, bars, and small snacks; the event does not supply disposable cups so participants are encouraged to carry a bottle. The half marathon and 11K are capped at 150 combined entries; the Lollipop Loop is a charity run/walk with day-of registration and proceeds donated to California Fire Relief. Post-race barbecue and race swag including custom socks are planned. Additional event services include parking passes included with entry, limited parking with carpooling encouraged, a shoe collection for Soles for Good, and a pregnancy deferral option to the following year if requested by August 30.
