Steve Morris 5 - 2026
The Steve Morris 5 is a road race of 5 miles held on Sunday 28 June 2026 with race headquarters at Sport in Desford, Peckleton Lane, Desford. The course is on road and pavement and is described as undulating. The event is chip timed, open to runners aged 16 and over, and entry is limited to 696 participants.
Parking is at Caterpillar on Peckleton Lane (LE9 9BZ) and car sharing is encouraged. There is a half mile walk from the parking area to race HQ and a one mile walk from the finish back to the parking. Runners are advised that a bridle path on the route is narrow and for safety should stay on the tarmac rather than attempting to overtake on rough ground.
Facilities at race HQ include toilets and changing, additional portaloos, club tents on the football pitch, and number collection at registration desks with numbers arranged by club or by surname for unattached entrants. Refreshments include an ice cream van and a tea and coffee van, and a Leicester Running Shop stall will be present. There is no drinks station on the course; water is available at the finish.
Headphones, including bone conduction types, are prohibited and enforcement may lead to disqualification. Refunds and deferrals are not permitted.
