Steps for Summer 5K & Wellness Festival
The 3rd Annual Steps for Summer 5K & Wellness Festival is presented by Sixth Avenue Community Development Corporation and takes place at Sixth Avenue Baptist Church in Birmingham, AL on April 18, 2026. The event features a 3.1 Miles running and walking course and is described as a family friendly gathering that welcomes walkers and runners of all ages and fitness levels.
Proceeds support camp scholarships and student programs that provide performing arts, academics, life skills, sports, field trips, and healthy meals for children regardless of zip code. The event includes music, performances, community resources, kid friendly activities, and giveaways throughout the morning. Awards are planned for Largest Team and Best Team Spirit.
Registration opens January 16, 2026 and closes April 19, 2026. The base registration fee is $30 and includes a t-shirt, race bib, and medal. Team registration discounts apply at $5 off per person for teams of 10 or more and $10 off per person for teams of 15 or more. Participants who register by March 27 are guaranteed a shirt size.
