Stepping for Life 5K
The Stepping for Life 5K is a community walk and run held in November 2026 at the Meade County Fairgrounds in Brandenburg, Kentucky (884 Hillcrest Drive, Brandenburg, KY 40108). The event covers a distance of 3.1 Miles and is organized to raise funds for local and statewide programs.
Registration opens September 21, 2026 and closes November 14, 2026. The registration fee is $25. Participants who register before October 23, 2026 receive a commemorative race day t-shirt.
All proceeds support Meade-Breck Right To Life. Funds are used for legislative efforts, to maintain Safe Haven Baby Boxes in Meade and Breckinridge counties, and to support pregnancy resource centers and community outreach programs in the area.
The event also highlights Clarity Solutions, a pregnancy help center and clinic in Elizabethtown. Clarity Solutions offers no-cost services including pre-abortion appointments, lab-quality pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, sexual health consultations, and an 18 month resource program for parents. These services are provided at no cost and are available to both women and men.
Awards are given to the top two male and female overall finishers and medals are awarded to the top male and female finishers in these age groups: 12 & under, 13-19, 20-29, 30-39, 40-49, 50-59, 60-69, and 70 & over. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
