Run Rabbit Run : Steamboat Springs, Colorado
Run Rabbit Run is a two-day ultramarathon event held in Steamboat Springs, Colorado on September 18 and 19, 2026. The program includes both a 100 mile and a 50 mile race, held on trails operating under a special use permit on the Routt National Forest.
The event lists limited fields for each distance and specified time cutoffs for finishers. Entrant limits and cutoff durations:
- 100 mile race - limited to 450 entrants
- 50 mile race - limited to 200 entrants
The 100 mile race is presented as an annual event (14th edition for the 100 mile race) and the 50 mile race is likewise described as an annual event (19th edition for the 50 mile race). Organizers state that no qualifying run is required for entry. Registration for the 2026 races is full and a waitlist is maintained.
Run Rabbit Run operates as a charity race. Since 2012 the event reports donations approaching $700,000 to nonprofit and charitable organizations; in 2025 it reports donating more than $82,000 to 20 northern Colorado charities. The event also publishes a prize purse for 2026 that includes a $20,000 first place award and a $100,000 total purse.
