About the race
The Steady Steve 5K is a community 5K run and a 5K walk held in Batesville on 10/03/2026. The course begins and ends at the Our Father’s Table facility and runs through Batesville's Westside, passing West Elementary School. The event supports the nonprofit ministry Our Father’s Table, with all proceeds directed to that ministry. Our Father’s Table has provided sack lunches as a street outreach on Saturdays since 2012 and now serves hot meals two nights a week.
The ministry focuses on building relationships with people who are hungry and connecting them to other community resources. Registration details included an online entry option and race day registration, with fees reported in the $25 to $30 range. Entrants were able to make additional donations beyond the race fee. Participants registered by Sept.
18 were guaranteed a T-shirt in their requested size in their race packet; later registrants received shirts at packet pickup on a first come first served basis while supplies lasted. Awards are given for the top three male and top three female finishers in both Runner and Walker divisions. The event materials included a route map and printed forms such as a flier, sponsorship form, and paper entry form. Visit the organization's website for the most recent information.
